About Me
My name is Jordan Steinberg. I have been doing website design and development since my first interaction with HTML in the fall of 1999. As soon as I made my first "Hello world from the internet!" page, I was hooked! In the next several years I further honed my skills in HTML, XHTML, CSS, PHP, JavaScript, SQL, and other web-related technologies.
During my high school years I worked as a webmaster for the local Jewish Community Center, Congregation Brit Shalom, and in the AccuWeather.com web department.
After graduating from high school, I went to The Pennsylvania State University where I earned a Bachelor of Science in IST (Information Science and Technology) with a minor in Japanese. During my college years, I also started Webwise LLC with a partner, which later turned into my freelance identity, Webwise Web Works.
I believe in making websites that are clean, easy-to-use, and standards compliant. The result is that all of my websites look and function the same for everyone regardless of whether they are using Microsoft Internet Explorer in Windows, Safari on a Mac, or Opera in Linux; and they will continue to look the same when a new version of a browser is released!
Following these principles makes websites easier for search engines to index and makes them more likely to appear correctly on alternate devices such as a PDA or cellphone.
